This recent period has been a whirlwind of activity, focusing on digital innovation, farmer empowerment, and strict environmental compliance.

Digital Transformation & EUDR Readiness

To meet the requirements of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), we’ve gone digital. Led by the SUCDEN IT team, our data officers underwent intensive training on the Farm Force application. With new Samsung Galaxy A9+ tablets in hand, our team is now better equipped to capture precise traceability data from the farm to the depot.

Strengthening the Supply Chain

Knowledge is our greatest asset. During this phase, we reached:

  • 102 Recorders: Trained on traceability, record-keeping, and labor standards.
  • 1,521 Farmers: Completed an 8-week program on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), including shade and weed management.
  • 526 Farmers: Received personalized, one-on-one coaching specifically focused on proper fermentation to ensure premium bean quality.

A Commitment to Our Communities

Sustainability is nothing without social responsibility. We held sensitization sessions for over 1,300 farmers regarding child labor monitoring and remediation. By highlighting the role of group leaders and identifying hazardous work, we are building a safer environment for the children in our project societies.

Looking Toward the Future

Our "rehabilitation mandate" is in full swing. We have distributed 120,000 nursery rubbers across the Asempanaye, Asawinso, and Fosukrom societies to support the setup of new cocoa nurseries.

As we move into the next phase, our focus shifts to farm mapping, the formation of community service groups, and ongoing CLMRS surveys. We are proud of the successful Rainforest Alliance surveillance audit outcome and remain committed to addressing the minor non-conformities identified to maintain our high standards.
