Kuapa Kokoo Cooperative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union Limited (KKFU) formerly known as Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Union is Ghana’s pioneer and the leading producer of ethical cocoa beans. Established in 1993 with 2000 farmers and currently has 100,000 registered farmers across Ghana. KKFU is certified under three certification schemes namely: FairTrade, UTZ and Rainforest Alliance.

OUR OBJECTIVES ARE:

- To provide a medium for the social, economic and political empowerment of cocoa farmers.

All 57 cocoa districts under the Union have been registered as Co-operative Societies. The Zones (communities) have not been independently registered yet but are still recognized as a means of organizing members under the co-operative societies. The main benefits that members stand to gain from the new structure are: improved Ownership, improved Compliance, improved Commitment, increased transparency, increased accountability, democracy and capacity development.
